Do I need a website host?

ERIS, Enterprise Research Information Services, provides an option for hosting websites with Partners-affiliated hospitals through their shared WordPress platform.

What if I already have a custom domain?

ERIS, can host custom top-level domain (your-lab.org) websites. Just register your desired domain name (you’re responsible for annual registration fees) with any domain registrar, and use the following methods to point the website to our server.

Is WordPress easy to use?

WordPress is an Open Source software system used by millions of people around the world to create websites and blogs. Thousands of user guides & documentation for WordPress as well as blog posts, tutorials and reviews of themes & plugins.

It is completely customizable by the use of themes and plugins (both free & paid). Themes can be easily downloaded from the official WordPress site or from hundreds of other places around the web. The same goes with plugins, which are used to extend the functionality of your WordPress site

How do I share my content?
  • Please create a new folder with your website name.
  • Add all your images (please use high resolution images at least 1100px wide, if planning to use for banners)
  • Create a document for each of the pages (Home, Research, Contact, etc.)
  • Please add the text exactly how you would like it to appear online, and hyperlink anything that needs to be. Do not add any asterisks or comments in the document.
Can I link my publication to a PDF?

Unfortunately you are not allowed to do so. Best option is to either individually link them to PubMed or import your PubMed RSS feed.
