What is Research?

Research is a study that is done to answer a question. Scientists conduct research so they can discover the best way to treat and prevent diseases. Research is not the same as treatment. Participating in research is voluntary.

Why is Research Important?

Clinical research has led to the discovery of new drugs, vaccines, and better surgical procedures. The goal of the clinical research is to answer medical questions.
