BWH researchers, clinicians and staff are invited to participate in the ongoing taskforces and initiatives sponsored by the Brigham Research Institute. This is a great way to explore the research taking place outside your department or division, learn about existing resources and meet new potential collaborators – all while serving the community.
Current research initiatives and task forces include:
- Peer review and mentoring for R01 and K awards (faculty and fellows only)
- Ad hoc review committee for internal BRI funding opportunities (faculty only)
- Standing review committee for limited submission invitational awards (faculty only)
- Committee to assess the feasibility of establishing a BWH center for human challenges for the evaluation of therapies related to infectious agents
- Committee to create a cancer-specific research network to gain access to BWH clinicians, patient populations and cancer models
- Steering committee to plan a seminar series featuring BWH faculty/researchers working on cancer-related topics
- Steering committee to plan a seminar (or chalk talk) series featuring research related to immunology & infectious diseases
- Plan a workshop/symposium on research at the junction between bones, muscles and joints
- Plan a workshop/symposium on research at the intersection of neuroscience and genetics
- Create a resource for gender-based data analyses
- Create a digital platform to connect & facilitate collaborations between researchers working on women’s health and sex differences
- Committee to reevaluate and revamp the Brigham Research Institute website
