05 Aug Meet Our MSK Interns: Janis Lee
Janis Lee is a junior at Carleton College who is majoring in biology. This summer, she is working with Soumya Raychaudhuri, MD, PhD, where she is studying the basis of various autoimmune diseases using techniques in human genetics, bioinformatics, and systems biology. She enjoys wet lab work, but is excited to explore research from the primary perspective of computational biology. She sees this internship as a type of extension of the research she participated in last summer, where she studied CD4+ T cell function. She hopes to improve her handling of multiple simultaneous projects and deepen her understanding of immunology and different laboratory techniques. After graduation, she hopes to pursue an MD/PhD and focus on biomedical research.
