Website Creation Process

WordPress is a popular and dynamic open-source software platform widely used in higher education for web content management systems and blogs. Answers to questions on editing, publishing, and functionality are easily found through Google searches and help forums. We offer three different site themes and a handful of plug in options you can find on our support page.

REQUEST A NEW WEBSITE

Complete this form designed to collect basic information about your site. After submitting the form someone from the Web Development team will get back to you to set up a meeting.

DEVELOP CONTENT

Deliver compiled, finalized content in a shared Dropbox folder.

All text in your documents should be entered exactly as you would like it to appear on your website. We do not edit typos or punctuation.

The primary contact in your organization is responsible for ensuring that all content is correct and accurate.

REVIEW

Once we build your website, you will review the site and if necessary, the Web Designer will meet with you to discuss any changes you would like made.

It is important to note that you will be able to make edits to your site once you take it over, so nothing is ever final.

FINALIZE & MAINTAIN

  • After the round of edits is complete and reviewed, your organization will get a final review.

  • Editing privileges are then given to your organization’s staff member who will be responsible for maintaining the site going forward.  More information and support can be found under ‘Quick Links’.
