Research Rumble

Are you ready to rumble? This is your chance to compete in a fun and friendly competition designed to boost your science communication skills.

This spring, researchers from Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital will face off against each other in a fun and friendly competition to see which institution has the best team of science talkers.

A total of six contestants—three each from Mass General and the Brigham—will have four minutes each to present their science to a team of “celebrity” judges and receive feedback. The team that does the best overall job of presenting their science will take home the title of rumble champions—at least until the next time we square off!

The Research Rumble will take place on Thursday, April 20th, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Cambridge Public Library, 499 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138.

We’ll use your individual applications to put together a team of three finalists. Interested participants should fill out our application form and MUST include a link to a one-minute, first-person video introducing themselves and their science.

This video can be shot on your phone and then uploaded to YouTube. It doesn’t have to be fancy or polished, we just want to get to know you. See the video below for more details.  If you’re interested in getting some assistance with your video, please get in touch by emailing bwhbri@partners.org

**The deadline for entries is Monday, March 27th.**
