The Brigham Research Institute’s (BRI) Lung Research Center cordially invites you to participate in its 5th annual symposium. This virtual event will feature a keynote address by Dr. Marlene Rabinovitch, the Dwight and Vera Dunlevie Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at Stanford University and will be followed by a poster session open to all BWH researchers working in the field of lung biology. The goal of the symposium is to bring together pulmonary-related researchers and clinicians at BWH, highlight the exciting research activities of the lung community and encourage cross-collaborative research efforts.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Poster session details

How to submit: Abstracts (limit: 250 words) will be accepted via the online submission form through Monday, January 24th. Pre-recorded poster videos will need to be submitted by Jan 31 (more details to come).

Awards: Top posters will be awarded cash prizes

Eligibility: Posters will be selected for display during the event based on the following criteria:

  • Researchers working in a BWH-affiliated laboratory or research group are invited to submit a poster in the field of lung biology
  • Prize eligible applicants: Researchers with an academic rank of assistant professor or below, including research and clinical fellows, nurses, residents, students, etc.
  • To qualify for an award, the presenting author must attend the poster session to present their research. No proxies!
  • Other applicants: Researchers with an academic rank above assistant professor may submit, but they are not eligible for prizes.
  • An individual may be the presenting author on only one abstract but may be a coauthor on multiple abstracts
  • Previously presented research will be accepted.
  • All submissions will be displayed on the event website, but a limited number of posters (~25) will be presented during the event
  • Awards will be given based on review of the pre-recorded poster video
